Report Writer interface: AI drafting panel, templates and document views

Case study 01 — AI SaaS products

AI for B2B SaaS products

Boards and senior management spend days writing their board papers. Report Writer bakes twenty years of consultancy knowledge into AI that drafts them instead. I led design from the start, prototyping with Claude Code and Vertex to put a tangible AI experience in front of users early.

Governance platform on the web

Accessible features for digital board governance on a fast agile cycle: AI summarisation for minutes and surveys, resolutions in the board room, and a design system overhaul. As a non-developer, I picked up enough coding to ship Swedish Mobile BankID in the product.

Case study 03 — iOS applications

iOS applications

Designing the same governance product for iPhone and iPad, where the constraints are tighter and the conventions are not mine to invent. Working inside Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, adapting dense document and meeting workflows to touch, and keeping parity with the web product without copying it.

Product vision

Showing what a product does and what it looks like before it exists: mockups, a hero concept, the “here’s your product” screens. In design circles this is usually called a vision prototype or concept design. Grounded in research — personas, storyboards and co-creation workshops, then moderated usability tests to validate the direction.

Case study 05 — Scania Quality Gate

Digitalising quality assurance

Reducing time lost for Scania’s Quality Gate team on the truck manufacturing floor in Oskarshamn. Contextual inquiries, interviews and surveys became affinity diagrams, personas and wireframes, then high-fidelity designs built on Scania’s own design system.

Case study 06 — Synaesthetica

Audio-visual museum installation

An audiovisual installation built with Max/MSP and Kinect, inspired by synesthesia. Visitors create sound and colour through movement, blending music and painting into one embodied experience.

Case study 07 — Sveriges Radio

Sound design for radio

Before product design, I was an audio engineer at Sveriges Radio.

Sound design and production shape a narrative and build whole worlds in the non-visual space. The craft is the same as any interface: take the listener from A to B, and hold their attention the entire way.

In this portfolio, the designer Anton Östlund wants to lift the playfulness and creativity in product design.

There are many aspects of product design for digital applications that can engage the user in more ways than just a static UI — and in this day and age, with a million look-alike AI-generated SaaS products, it is simply too boring not to be unique.
